DAY 15: 30 Day Scarf Challenge

Congratulations everyone we are officially half way through the month!! And let me tell you I don't know if I have 15 more scarves!

So today has been a really weird day... Not sure how else to explain it but at least it's ending with me going to bed early! (Unfortunately I also have to be up early) Also, the wifi on my iPad is not currently working so I am blogging from my phone! So I apologize in advance if the format looks weird on your computer/tablet.

Here is my scarf for today. Nice and cozy wrapped around my neck twice and then tied to stay in place. Also if you have been following my other posts you'll know I burned my forehead with my curling iron therefore I will not take pictures if my face until it's healed! Ha vain, I know but still it's embarrassing!

I promise when I graduate in less than a month I will have better/longer posts, but for now I have to get some sleep. I have a busy weekend ahead of me! (And not as in plans, busy as in work and homework). Hope you all had a great Friday and are looking forward to a great weekend. See you tomorrow for Day 16!

DAY 8: 30 Day Scarf Challenge

Today's post is going up later than usual, I had a very busy day!

First I walked the pups, and I didn't want to go back inside because it was so beautiful out so I decided to rake the leaves! (it was actually a lot more than that it should be).

It was quiet the work out!

Talie had to watch from the window since she kept sneaking away when she was outside with me! Little sneak!

Then I painted this, I was feeling inspired! Once it dries look for it on my Etsy page!

Had to take a picture if the sunset through the trees!

And here is my scarf for Day 8! (Has it only been 8 days?!) I'm wearing a simple black scarf with my new favorite sweater! So comfortable and warm!

DAY 6: 30 Day Scarf Challenge

Hello everyone! Here is my scarf for Day 6.

Don't you love my new phone case??

This is what I was wearing today after work before I passed out on the couch because I'm not feeling well today! Lately, I feel like I'm stretching myself too thin. I just need to keep reminding myself 2 more weeks of classes, a week off for Thanksgiving, finals week, and then graduation! If only I could get over this cold which is doubled with allergies today. Is it bad that I want it to snow so my seasonal allergies will go away? Anyway, enough complaining on my end! Here is my scarf, since I didn't want to cover up my necklace today I chose to go with a smaller, lighter scarf. It is much thinner than most of the scarves I own as shown below.

All I did to get this look was tie the ends. But instead of tying the corners like I did for Day 1 and Day 3 I tied the entire ends into a knot.

Then wrapped it around my neck twice. Feel free to scarf your favorite scarf! You can contact me by commenting below or emailing me at CoffeeAndCourture@outlook.com.
I hope you are having a great Wednesday!

DAY 4: 30 Day Scarf Challenge

Today is Day 4 of the 30 Day Scarf Challenge!

 photo 17cd93fe-6f37-4269-b0bb-8196c2bf773f_zps2862e192.jpg

Thank you Lauren for taking this picture!

So let me first start off with explaining why I renamed my blog from "My Life in a Nutshell" to "Coffee and Couture" since there were some people with many questions about it (you know who you are :-P ). I want my blog to be more fashion oriented (hence the "couture") and I love coffee (I drink it like its water). So that's that! I tried to make it as original as possible but as me as possible, and I feel like I nailed it! Anyway, my scarf! This is an infinity scarf that my mom crochet for me a couple years ago. I absolutely love the colors and the fact that it only goes around your neck once. Its also super warm! With out this scarf today I would have been freezing so I'm glad I brought it along. (It also matches my coffee cup which I chose to include in this picture for the sake of my blog name!)

This scarf literally covers your entire neck with only wrapping it around your neck once. Gotta love the simplicity!
Hope you have a magnificent Monday! Please follow my blog! See you tomorrow for Day 5.

DAY 3: 30 Day Scarf Challenge

Today is Day 3 of my 30 Day Scarf Challenge!

This is a scarf I don't wear often because it is hard to find anything to match it. However, after a little digging through my closet I found an outfit I was finally happy with! Also today this scarf was very useful because it covered up the fact that my shirt was probably too low cut for church! You would never know with this scarf! This scarf is also smaller than almost all of the scarfs I own. So this is how I got this look...

This scarf, unlike my others, is a perfect square. It can be a little tricky to make it look good, since if you just wrap it around your neck it would look too short.

I fold it into a triangle.

Then tie the ends. Notice, as opposed to how I tied the scarf on Day 1 of the challenge, the knot it is not at the ends of the corners. You can adjust where you tie the knot depending on how you want the scarf to hang.

And then just place it around your neck and there you go!

DAY 2: 30 Day Scarf Challenge

Hello everyone! Today is Day 2 of my 30 Day Scarf Challenge!

This is an infinity scarf. I absolutely love this scarf because it literally goes with everything. It's a really nice off white so it still works for fall. This scarf is good for keeping you warm or looking stylish. It also has a great texture to it so it doesn't look boring. The best thing about infinity scarves is that unlike yesterday you don't have to tie them, just wrap it around your neck twice and you're good to go! Quick and easy.

Stop by tomorrow for Day 3 of the 30 Day Scarf Challenge. Be sure to follow my blog! Have a beautiful Saturday!

DAY 1: 30 Day Scarf Challenge

Hello and welcome to my 30 Day Scarf Challenge! The scarf is the most important part of a fall outfit and I will give you 30 reasons why this month. To quote Natalie,"You don't need a bunch of clothes if you have enough scarves to dress up any outfit!"

The scarf I chose for Day 1 of my 30 Day Scarf Challenge is one that I have bought most recently. It is something I wouldn't normally buy because it has skulls on it and I've never been into skulls, however you can't see the skulls when its draped around your neck! The colors are just perfect for most things that I wear. This is me just arriving to work. I'm wearing my navy North Face which brings out the navy in the scarf. Instead of wearing this scarf the traditional way of just wrapping it around your neck, I choose to mix it up a little.

Can you even tell there are skulls?

This is how I did this look.

First, I tied the opposite corners of the scarf in a knot.

Hang it around your neck like a giant necklace.

Take the bottom of the scarf and cross it over to make an 8.

Then take the bottom loop of the 8 and flip it over your head and voila!

Please leave any comments or questions below! Be sure to enter your email to follow my blog! Check in tomorrow to see Day 2 of my 30 Day Scarf Challenge.
