Getting Krafty!

Hello everyone! So to keep myself more committed to blogging I'm going to get back to basics, back to why I really started a blog. For those of you who don't know, the real reason I started blogging was to connect with other bloggers, eventually start blogging about fashion, which I was hoping would lead to opening my own boutique one day. I believe that in order to reach your dream, you must do at least one thing toward your goal everyday. So not only did I start this blog but I have started to be a little more creative. In order to make money to start a boutique I have started to sell canvas art on Etsy. Its a slow start but I am still hopeful!

So Ill admit, I got a little busy and distracted from my blog this month but what brought me back was hanging out with my cousin this past weekend. We got a little krafty! Actually, my cousin Natalie is the one who got me to start blogging. We spent hours on Saturday at Joann Fabric's and got back with a long list of things to make. Since I didn't plan ahead enough to bring my sewing machine to her house, we only had one. So, being the little old lady I am,  I bought some yarn and started to crochet my little brother a blanket! It will be his Christmas present SHHHH :)

I will post a picture of the finished blanket when its.. ya know... finished...

My cousin and I then split the cost for some stretch soft and really cute material! She has started sewing infinity scarves, and she's really good at it! I keep telling her she should sell them! She blogs about it here so be sure to check it out!

Here is my favorite scarf she made!

Here is a close up of the material. I love this scarf so much because it is super soft, it feels like a sweater! Also it matches so many different clothes I wear.

So this got me thinking about how much I truly love scarfs. They are the most important part of a fall wardrobe! I am going to challenge myself, and challenge you to join me, in a 30 day scarf challenge. I'm going to start on November 1st, and I'm going to wear different scarfs, different ways everyday! Hopefully I don't run out of scarfs or ideas! Come check back on November 1st to see what I start with!
